Cambridge hosts IAEA Research Coordination Meeting

Cambridge hosted the 3rd Research Coordination Meeting for the International Atomic Energy Agency's Coordinated Research Project on "Near Term and Promising Long Term Options for Deployment of Thorium Energy Systems" from 1st to 4th September 2015.

Thirteen international experts on thorium energy systems, including Dr Geoff Parks and Dr Eugene Shwageraus from the Cambridge Nuclear Energy Centre, met at Jesus College last week to share updates on their latest research and to plan the details of a proposed IAEA Technical Document on "Options for Deployment of Thorium Based Nuclear Energy in Thermal and Fast Reactors".
