Dr Theophile Bonnet

Dr Theophile Bonnet works as a research associate in the Nuclear Energy group in the Department of Engineering.

Specialisms

Dr Bonnet’s research focuses on investigations related to Monte Carlo simulations of nuclear reactors. In particular, Dr Bonnet is interested in the effect of neutron correlations in power iteration and in time-dependent simulation, with a focus on the interaction between correlations and variance reduction methods. In the future, he aims at investigating zero-variance schemes for kinetic simulations, and GPU-based Monte Carlo methods.

Dr Bonnet’s work is financed by the MathRad grant.
