Dr Xuan-Ha Nguyen is a research associate in the Nuclear Energy group in the Department of Engineering.
Specialisms
Dr Xuan-Ha Nguyen is currently working on Nuclear Reactor Design and Analysis for various Gen-IV reactors, particularly on the light-water reactors (LWRs). His recent research focuses on the development of accident tolerant fuel (ATF) and its application on LWRs.
He is also interested in designing boron-free (SBF) operation for PWR-type small modular reactors (SMRs), for example Rolls-Royce SMRs, NuScale, etc.
